bloodless stain

bloodless stain
of scarlet
in a single
unwashed
wine glass.

the poison
residue clings,
crawls softly
between the
faintest fracture;

to colour its eyes
with yours upon
a moldering wish
obscures
passion

, as i n

our delicate finger-
print swirls becoming
thwarted
gasoline rain-
bows

lacking even
the deepest shade
that got us into
this mess
in the first place..
